What is a Color Run?

What is a Color Run?

The Color Run takes place during school hours where our students will run or walk around the field in back of the High School and then down to the front field.

Students will run at the following times:

  • 8:30-10:30: High School
  • 10:30-12:00: Middle School

As they run, they will go through 5 different color stations. A color station is a point in the Color Run that runners pass through where volunteers throw color powder on their shirts.

We will provide white t-shirts, a pair of sunglasses, and a neck gaiter to all students. At the end of the Color Run, each grade will cheer on the other runners and have a class picture taken.

Where do the funds go?

Where do the funds go?

100% of your donations will go directly to the Cohasset PSO. The PSO funds curriculum enrichment programs and teacher grants at the Cohasset Public Schools.

Families and friends are encouraged to sponsor their runners by donating to the Color Run.

Our goal is to raise $50,000. If every family were to contribute $75.00, we would meet our goal, but we encourage you to contribute what you can.

We need your help!

Yes! Parents and caregivers are welcome to volunteer!

We need volunteers to:

  • Toss the color at the runners (20-30 volunteers for each of two shifts)
  • Run the water and popsicle tables
  • Set up in the morning
  • Donate popsicles, water and paper cups

The students will run at the following times:

  • 8:30-10:30: High School
  • 10:30-12:00: Middle School

What is color powder?
We purchased our color powder from Color Blaze. Their colors are made with high quality cornstarch, food dyes and baking soda. All materials are 100% FD&C and/or D&C approved. The color powder is gluten free and does not contain dairy, nuts, wheat, soy or other common allergens. Although it is made from all food safe ingredients, it is not created in a food safe facility and is not intended for human consumption. For more information visit their website at: Color Blaze
