Dear Osgood and Deer Hill Families,
Each year the Cohasset PSO hosts the “Osgood and Deer Hill Fun Run,” a special tradition where the community comes together to cheer on students as they run laps for 30 minutes to raise money for our schools. This is the PSO’s largest fundraiser of the year and provides family, friends and neighbors the opportunity to donate to the PSO and help maximize the educational experience of our students by funding programs and projects beyond the scope of the regular school budget.
Each year the Cohasset PSO hosts the “Osgood and Deer Hill Fun Run,” a special tradition where the community comes together to cheer on students as they run laps for 30 minutes to raise money for our schools. This is the PSO’s largest fundraiser of the year and provides family, friends and neighbors the opportunity to donate to the PSO and help maximize the educational experience of our students by funding programs and projects beyond the scope of the regular school budget.
100% of all proceeds raised through the Fun Run will go directly to Cohasset public schools to provide enrichment programs, fund teacher grants, and events for the school community. The Fun Run is the PSO's major annual fundraiser. Proceeds fund on-site workshops, award teacher grants for classroom materials not in the budget, and so much more.

On October 16, 2025, all students at Deer Hill and Osgood will go outside with their grade level and be challenged to run as many laps around the Deer Hill field as they can. Parents and classmates will cheer the runners on at this non-competitive, festive event. Students are encouraged to get pledges from friends and family to support their run, and classes with the highest number of donations/participation rate will be rewarded.
We need your help to make it a success! Please support the PSO by sponsoring your student's run and encouraging friends and family to consider doing the same.

The goal in recent years has been $65,000 to be used for things like teacher grant requests, author visits, STEM week programming, workshops with local museums, gardening (Holly Hill), curriculum enrichment and more.
